Archana Kumaraswamy has been learning veena from Guru Smt. Meenakshi Somasundaram from the age of 11. She has performed at various temples and during the SIFAS festivals. She has also participated in the Papanasam Sivan competition and the Purandara Namana. Also, she won the first prize in the 2017 National Arts Council (NAC) Indian Music competition, Open Category. She has also performed with her Guru as part of the Nada Neeranjanam programme in Tirupati.
