Subashree Narayanan learnt Carnatic music under Sangeetha Vidhwan Shri. A.S. Panchapakesha Iyer (Author of Gaanamritha Bodhini – Foundation of Carnatic Music). She went on to complete her Diploma in Carnatic music at the young age of 14. Later on, she went on for advanced Vocal Training under the guidance of Guru Smt. T.R. Balamani. She continues to learn Abhangs in the Varakari Paddhathi. Subashree is also an established Bharatnatyam teacher.

She likes to explore, experiment and learn about new avenues related to music and dance like Sangeetha Upanyasam & Sampradaya Bhajans, Choreograph dances for Harikatha. Subashree is currently working in the area of Special Needs with Children using her music knowledge and acquired academic techniques to teach children with special needs to combat their day-to-day activities.
